Due to the pain of wrist tattoos, you should pick something small and meaningful, since it will be in your visual field so often. Words and symbols are best.

Words are very common, as are small symbols. Choose something that has a special meaning, and be creative! If you choose a word, look for the word in foreign languages; maybe even a language that is related to your heritage. For example things such as: Love, strength, courage, and stars.

This is only limited by what you like. Be sure to get something that is not obscene, as your wrist is quite visible most of the time.

I would suggest something that can easily be covered up with a watch band, bracelet, or shirt sleeves. Tats that wrap around your wrist are cool, like vines or snakes, or just patterns.
