How do I locate the defrost terminator in my car?

The defrost terminator is not explained in the driver's manual. I drive a 1994 Ford Thunderbird LX 2-door sedan.

I have an amana side by side that the freezer warms up to 50 for a couple of hours then will cool back down. I have had a repairman out that changed the thermostat and also the timer and it still seems to be getting stuck in defrost mode. Could it be that we got a faulty timer or something else?
