Show up early with a printed out resume and a formal suit. Know as much as you can about the company, the industry, the position, and recent news as possible. Be ready to talk about your strengths and weaknesses. Know what questions to ask to make sure the job is a good fit for you, too.

Demonstrate that you have knowledge of the company. Do your research. Demonstrate that you have positive feelings about the company--focus on this. Demonstrate that you desire to be of service--focus on the things you have done to help at your other jobs. Demonstrate you have initiative and give examples. Demonstrate that you are not self-centered.

For an interview, know the job you are applying for, be prepared to talk about your skills and how you achieved them, be honest with your answers, don't be afraid to ask questions if the opportunity arises and above just be yourself and let you true personality come through so how you interact with others can shine through.

A great interview tip is to maintain eye contact and to apply a firm, but non-aggressive handshake. Answer every question confidently, and do not complain about any former boss, co-worker, or your life in general.

Focus on your strengths and be confident. Look the interviewer in the eye answering immediately. Don't pause to think. Where something nice. Don't wear jeans or t-shirts. Base what you wear on the type of job you are applying for though. Don't be cocky, just be sure of yourself and you're bound to get the job.

You have to answer all questions in a prompt and timely fashion. You need to dress nicely, like you care about the job. Sweatpants and t-shirts do not cut it. You want to be well kept, clean and showered. You want to make sure that you know what you are up against and sell yourself for the job.

Prepare by gathering some information about the company you are applying to. If possible, try to learn something about the person you will be interviewing with. This shows that you are interested in where and whom you will be working with, and that you are not just seeking a"job".
