Sidebars in a yearbook are a great place for a collection of facts. Consider making a list of significant events (either national or local) that happened during the year. Create a list of trends (fashion, food, media, internet) or collect quotes from classmates about things that were important to them.

You could use retro motifs in your sidebar.For example,frame the pictures,if any,as if they were from a different era,such as something that looks like a daguerrotype frame.You could also make it look like it came from a photo booth.
