Personally, I prefer to use the packaged version of au jus. Au jus simply means with juice. Usually the juice that is cooked from your meat is substantial for a good au jus.

I love having au jus sauce with my hot roast beef sandwiches. The au jus sauce that i make consists of just two simple ingredients, and it really does taste delicious with roast beef. Add one cup of soy sauce to one cup of water, heat these two together on the stove top, and serve warm.

Place roast in dish; salt and pepper to taste. Pour soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce over roast. Place cutup onion on roast. Cover, cook 350 degrees to desired doneness.
