Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders are excellent Toddler boardgames. They made editions especially for the younger toddler as well so it's enjoyable for kids all ages. Just remember that you shouldn't always let your child win. Losing is an important part of the game too. You don't want a sore loser around your house.
Get a piece of paper and write a letter on it with glue. Then give the child something to put on the glue like feathers, pennies, noodles, sequins, candy, or anything.
