There could be coughing, and/or difficulty breathing is chest leukemia. Additional symptoms include lethargy, pale gums, and weakness. Weight loss, fever, chronic infections, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, lethargy, pale gums, difficulty breating. These are just some symptoms. In 2001 I lost a cat to this disease and it's better to either treat it early or put the cat down. It's very heartbreaking.

Leukemias are disorders of the blood-forming cells which are reflected by changes seen primarily in the blood and are difficult to diagnose. Affected cats with such blood-forming disorders often show signs such as progressive weight loss, poor appetite, fever and pale mucous membranes, such as the gums.
