Gustav Klimt is the original Romantic painter. His best known work is the Kiss. The Fred and Ginger Building in Prague is An equally romantic design by Architect Frank Gehry. It represents Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers dancing. Both works of art have a similar compostion.

The paintings "The Lady of Shallot" by John William Waterhouse and "Liberty Leading the People" by Eugène Delacroix are good representatives of the Romantic art period. However, William Turner is perhaps one of many painters most known to paint in this style.
