There's the ever popular popsicle stick log cabin. Or slightly wider craft sticks can be painted with leaves and flowers and use for plant markers. Old fashioned pinch type clothes pins can become soldiers or newer clip type, glue and construction paper can become birds or bats.

You can cut the wood into different shapes. I also think it might be neat if you paint them different colors. You can cut and paint them and put them on your lawn for decoration.

Maybe not extremely easy, but if you have a wood burner, or a local wood shop you can take slices of tree trunk and burn designs into the face of it. Turns out beautiful for your home or maybe you can sell them.
