You can get some ear drops in the pharmacy that help. Also taking aspirin or paracetamol helps against infections in general. When going out, cover the ear to protect it against wind and dirt. If nothing helps, go to the doctor.

Have you been to the dr? Tell them its not going away. Maybe its wax buildup that needs to be cleaned out. I had that once and felt just like an ear infection. To treat them you need antibiotics. To help with the pain I've used an oil you heat up.

Ear infections normally go away on their on in 5 to 7 days. If this doesn't occur, then your doctor will typically prescribe an antibiotic to get rid of the infection.
