How about a DIY calendar? Print out pictures for each month - if Dad's birthday is in June, have him as the photo cover for that month!

A wonderful Christmas gift is decorating a mason jar with ribbon, fabric, and other little trinkets. Fill the decorated jar with the dry ingredients for cookies or some other treat with the ingredients layers on top of one another. You then can make and attach a tag with the recipe for the treat inside the jar.
