Though very similar in practice to Presbytarians, Episcopalians are more Catholic in their thought. The Episcopal church is led by bishops, whereas presbyters are servants to the church. The Episcopal church recognizes the same sacraments as the Roman Catholic church and considers the Apocrypha to be part of the canon. Episcopalians place primary importance on the Eucharist, Presbyterians on doctrine.

The Episcopal denomination is basically the American equivalent of Anglicanism. Both Presbyterians and Episcopalians are considered reformed faiths - meaning that both follow the tenets of Calvin and Luther in their reforms of the Catholic church. Episcopalians tend to be closer than Presbyterians in holding church tradition above the Bible.

There are about 24 things that Episcopalians believe in. Some of them are; 1. God is the creator 2. God is fully manifested in Jesus. 3. Evil is real.
