You must be atleast 20 years of old and must be the citizen of that country. You must possess high school graduate or equivalent. You must be able to speak second language fluently.

Starting as a police officer helps. Several years of experience and a good conduct and professional record are required for promotion.

You would have to have a few years of the force. The test you have to study for but it's basic common sense. No hard drugs or felony convictions.

The deductive must have a very sharp observation on things, quality of imagination and analyzing the situation, interest in revealing the truth, comparing the present case or issues with the similar case before to get the ideas.
