A church operates much like a business. Building expenses includes everything needed to operate a building. Pastor/staff expenses are next.

These would include salaries for the church staff which may include a pastor or minister, their assistants, a church secretary, a housekeeper and a gardener. Other expenses could include electricity, water, gas, printing weekly church bulletins and refreshments for church social activities.
