Seated Shoulder Press, Military Press, Lateral Raises, Dumbbell Shoulder Press will help develop your Deltoids. Tricep extensions and Dips will also help by adding strength to your triceps.

The best way is simply practice. There are exercises to help strengthen your arm (bicep curls, etc. ). Other ways is actually to continue to throw a football, softball, etc. , as hard, as you can, as it will help build up endurance in the arm. Other than that, just practise throwing a football as many times as you can.

Obviously, just throwing a football around will help. Beyond this, you need to improve your arm strength. Weight training is the best way to accomplish that. Be sure to have someone show you how to use the weights safely, however.
