For example. The Economic Slump right now is History repeating itself. This happened in the Great Depression Era. History is important because it's what made this Country and World the way is today. It helps us to understand why certain things are the way that they are. It explains a lot of theories that are still in practice today.

Many point to the two World Wars as an example of history repeating itself. The recent economic crisis is for many, a repeat of what happened in the 1920s leading up to the Great Depression.
