What are examples of militarism in World War One?

Militarism was important during WWI because the European Nations were becoming mistrustful of each other, trying to stockpile weapons, creating very thin alliances with their neighbors against common enemies, alliances that could be broken anytime. Technology also had a role to play in it, as well as the Navy.

The examles of militarism in World War One were conquests of the Central powers and their struggle agains Antanta. Militarism was a significant principle in the conquests of the Great Powers, and the examples were: Austro-Hungarian agression on Serbia,on Russia etc. Secon example is agression in diplomacy, treats etc.

When there is militarism in government there is an increase in the military taking over the government and having everything to say about how that government is run. Therefore, the government is being run by the military. In Germany the parliament had to do whatever the general military staff wanted.

In first world war militarism was used by great britain and germany,as they both stocked up their military,preparing for war.Great britain and germany built up their navy and military for war.

Russia started immobalizing its army after siding with Serbia. Germany threatened to declare war on Russia if it did not stop immobalizing. Germany did not demobalize and Germany declared war on Russia.
