Diastix are testing strips used to detect sugars, or glucose, in the urine. After the strips come into contact with urine, they change color to reveal the amount of glucose present. Using a product such as diastix is the easiest way to test a diabetic cat for sugars in the urine.

Diastix are used to test a cat for diabetes by measuring the amount of glucose in the urine. The sticks are known for their high accuracy rates, and fast results, within 30 seconds. They cannot be used with cat litter so you may need an alternative method for the litter box.
