The CogAT Test consists of 3 sections. The Verbal section could ask you to choose words from a list that are dissimilar or pick a word to complete a sentence. The Quantitative section could include completing a series of numbers, or comparing two numbers. The Non-Verbal section uses only geometric shapes and figures to be classified or analyzed.
