My dog gets ear rashed from his allergies. Benadryl works well and the Vet can tell you how much is appropriate for your dog.

Ear mites are a leading cause of ear rashes in canines. The accummulation of wax and sensitivity to dirt is another, particularly in dogs with long earlids like Cocker Spaniels.

THere could be an allergie that you are un aware of. Often times dogs can get foreign objects like thistle and other plants lodged in their ears.

This could be caused by ear mites or by a simple yeast infection in the ear. Either way, you'll need to flush/clean your dog's ear.
