C4 gives rise to the phrenic nerve which innervates the diaphragm used for breathing, therefore any respiratory difficulties would be indicative. C5 gives rise to the upper portion of the brachial plexus, symptoms would occur in the upper shoulder and back area.
Symptoms start at neck traveling to the shoulder, arm or fingers. Tingling, numbness or muscle weakness directed in the path the nerve travels. It worsens by coughing, sneezing or straining.
c4-5 pinched nerve symptoms are pain radiating in the arm tinkgling sensation in the arm numbness in your arms. You will feel very uneasy at times. The feeling will be like a motor running for a few minutes. It is better to consult a nuero doctor and thengo for exercise.
Problems with the spinal column, including the c4-c5 level, can include but are not limited to, pain, tingling, limited range of motion, and tenderness at the site. Swelling is also possible.
The most common symptoms of this type of pinched nerve are pain in the neck and shoulders, and a tingling, numbing sensation. You may also experience some stiffness in the affected area.
Symptoms are weakness in the upper arm specifically in the deltoid muscle with, in most cases, no significant numbness or tingling. Shoulder pain is also present. An x-ray and/or an MRI of the area will need to be done. Please see your doctor for a complete diagnosis.
