Physical therapy and follow up exercises you at home will work wonders for your pain. It can also help you let go of some of the stress that tightened the muscles that pinched the nerve in the first place. Massage is also great-but not covered by most insurance.

You need physical therapy for starters. You could also get Therma Care heat wraps or ask your doctor for Lidoderm patches. It is a wonderful non-narcotic alternative!

Tingling or sharp pain down the arm into the hand could be a sign of a pinched nerve or even carpal tunnel syndrome. Contact your primary care doctor, who can refer you to a neurologist. Diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, EMG, and possible MRI may need to done.
