Historians disagree on whether or not the King Arthur legends were based on people who actually existed. It is safe to say that the Queen Guinevere in stories and books is a fictitious portrayal. If the character is based on a figure that actually existed, the similarities would be few.

Most likely, no. Given that her husband is a myth, she is most likely the same--perhaps based on a real woman of that time, but most likely not.

The Guinevere from the tales of King Arthur, or other Arthurian legends? No, she was not a real person. None of the people of those legends were real. However, like most stories and legends, all the aspects of the characters and the story were based upon real people and real ideas.

i do not think so, the only reson that i looked this up is coz i have a school fancy dress at school next tuesday so yeh all your comments above me really helped thank you all the comments above this one LOL! x
