Should you always type a business letter?

I am not sure if it is okay to hand write it.

It depends on the setting. A short handwritten memo included in an envelope of other documents is permissible. However it is generally considered standard to type a letter and sign it by hand. Typed letters indicate a level of professionism and also avoid any potential confusion caused by illegible handwriting.

Yes, you should always type it. Essential to the business format is its very formality. The only exception in business writing is the thank you, which should always be hand-written.

Yes you should because that way you can be sure that it can be read. Handwriting can be very hard to read. Also, typed is always more formal. As far as business goes you should always be formal. Also if you make a mistake you will not have to start all over again so that your letter will look nice.

In this technology age, it is absolutely necessary to type a business letter. Personal letters are enhanced by handwriting but business letters are not.
