Can you recommend a book that can help me with business letter writing?

My boss always asks me to write these letters. I have no clue where to start.

The best book from my own personal experience is Business Letter Handbook. This book will walk you through all the formatting as well as techniques that you can employ to become a better business letter writer. You can purchase this from most book stores or online outlets such as Amazon.

Diana Hacker's texts are a good place to start. They are well written (obviously) and designed to be used as a reference book, making it easy to answer specific questions.

If you want to learn the best techniques in business letter writing, you should consider using Strategic Business Letter and Email by Sheryl-Lindsell Roberts. The book introduces the mechanics of writing effective letters in hard copy (paper) and email (e-marketing) which is beneficial for anyone in business today. You will have everything you need to write a great letter.
