Should I be worried about a bug bite with a red ring?

I would have this checked out by a physician immediately. Ticks that transmit lyme disease leave a ring shaped mark on their victim also known as a bullseye.

If the red ring is getting larger or seems to be irritated by touch you should contact your doctor to rule out a spider bite.

You should only be worried about a bug bite if the red ring does not go away with in 24 to 48 hours. Most of the time the redness is temporary.

It usually means that it is infective. See a doctor. Also try and remember what kind of bug bit you. This will help the doctor figure out how to treat the bite. Do not put anything on it,it could get worse. I just found out I am allergic to neosporin.
