Should I be concerned if my dog has a glucosamine is 1200 mg and chondrotin of 500mg?

I am concerned about my dogs blood work results.

It sounds like you are trying to determine a dose on a supplement. Glucosamine and chondrotin are both beneficial to your dogs joint health and can be safely added to the diet. For dosage information check your dogs actual weight and see what is recommended on the packaging.

1500mg of Glucosamine is the dose that has been shown to have a therapeutic effect and is a nutritional supplement also. Make sure you give the pills with food, as studies have shown that glucosamine and chondroitin are absorbed better when they have a'vehicle'to get into the blood stream with

I don't think so, that is about how many milligrams are to be given to them daily. Your dog should be fine.

I think you may have your terminology mixed up. Glucosamine and chondroitin are joint supplements; they are not elements in a blood work profile.
