The bulbs on most vehicles are always accessed from the back of the headlight. There is a twist screw that when turned a quarter turn will slide back and allow you to remove the bulb. Be careful not to touch the replacment bulb with bare hands.

Rotate the circular cap behind the head lamp about an 1/8 of a turn. It should come out exposing the back of the bulb and wire harness. Rotate and remove bulb assembly and disconnect wires. Replace bulb the same way you took it out.

If your just talking about replacing the bulb then you unscrew the connector and pull the plug out of the housing and change the bulb.

Remove the screws that holds the Mazda 6 headlights, slowly then remove the headlight unit , take out the old bulb and replace a new one.
