On a Ford Expedition, where is the fuel filter?

Near the fuel tank, mounted on the frame rail. It is a small metal canister. You will see 2 rubber hoses connected to it; one leading to fuel tank, and the other going to fuel injector rail.

It is located on the frame, on the drivers side, aabout 3 feet in front of the fuel tank. Simply follow the line coming off of the fuel tank down to the filter itself. One end is snap off and the other end will require two wrenches to to get loose and remove.

I have a 2003 ford expedition and the fuel filter is located near the rear door on the drivers side attached to the outboard side of the tank. The cover on it makes it look like part of the tank but there is where it is located.
