On a Chevy Cavalier, how do you replace the starter?

IT is very similar to replacing a starter on most any other car. Start by unhooking your battery for safety. Once you locate the starter you will need to unhook the electrical connectors. Follow this by removing the starter bolts paying attention to any shim. Then install the new one making sure to shim it to the correctly.

Lift Cavalier with floor jack. Locate starter,Insert new starter. Remove tools ,lower cavalier to ground. Replace negative battery terminal and tighten. Test start. Release brake, close hood ;remove wheel chock.
