My Pitbull is losing his hair, is there a cure for this condition?

It depends on what is causing it. If it is a skin allergy, removing the allergen will stop it. If it is climate related there may be no cure. Is the area swollen? or painful? It may also be something like ringworm, for which you would need a medicated shampoo. I'd recommend talking to your local vet.

You should bring the dog to the vet to see if he has a skin condition, like mange, that needs a very specific treatment. Your vet can prescribe ointments and creams that might help with the hair loss. If there is no reason that can be found for why the dog is losing its hair, try changing his food.

You need to take it to the vet to make sure what is causing it. The vet can give it meds or tell you what you need to do.

Dogs do shed but if they overly lose hair it could mean that they are not having the right vitamins in there system which means that they are not significantly being kept up healthy. The best thing to do is to as the vet for good means of health food and go out and buy whats right for you.
