You take it to a VET! When you adopted a puppy, you SHOULD have known that routine expenses will occur (food, registrations, vaccines, worming, and vet care for checkups/illness). If you cant, you have no business owning a dog, period. Not doing so is abuse! You waited a MONTH?!?!?

It could be the type of food you are feeding him, or that maybe you bathe him too frequently. I would recommend seeing a vet to be sure that it is not a skin problem or that it is not something more serious than they type of food or maybe the shampoo.

It could be parasites, an allergy or maybe the temperature in your home is too high for a chihuahua. This merits a vet visit to avoid/treat potential serious issues.

The best way to help is taking him to a vet who can do a proper diagnosis - there are many causes of hair loss, including parasites, that require treatment.

This depends what is causing the animal to lose it's hair. If this is an indoor dog, it could very well be an allergic reaction. Try putting the animal out in the warmer months to see if it improves. Also, try using only hypoallergenic products on your chihahua and avoid many of the drying smampoos and sprays on the market.

Take him to the vet. If he's not just shedding he could have the mange or he could have something wrong internally.

just feed your old chihuahua with pedigree types of food and most important is keep the hair combing daily to maintain hair hygiene.

You're kidding, right? It's a medical condition that has been going on for over a month. It requires medical evaluation, NOT new food and a comb.  add a comment
