My guinea pig has pink urine. What's wrong?

Pink urine is almost certainly a Uterine Tract Infection or Bladder Stones; serious but treatable. Get your pig to a qualified exotics vet (who specialises in rodents) for a checkup.

Pink urine = blood. Probably a UTI or Bladder Stones. Take your pet to a vet who specializes in rodents for a checkup and treatment options.

Generally, a pinkish color indicates blood. S/he could have an infection in the bladder or kidneys, kidney or bladder stones, or blood clotting problems. If you have a sow, it could be uterine problems. Other reasons include muscle damage, diet, and very concentrated urine, which is dark yellow to orange.
