Given that dogs can and will eat some pretty vile things, they may vomit things that disagree with them. As long as they are still eating, have no other symptoms, and are still in good spirits, they'll get over in a day. Otherwise, take the dog to the vet.

Depending on what the dog got into that is normal. If dogs get into trash or eat certain plants it will vomit foam until it is out of its system.

Your dog could be suffering from bloat, a very serious condition. It is the second leading cause of canine death, after cancer. It strikes high chested dogs due to the position of their stomach in their abdominal cavity.

Many dogs may vomit what appears to be a clearish or very light colored foam. Usually this is due to the dog's stomach being very empty, for example during the long time period between dinner and breakfast. Give the dog a small snack or portion of food to reduce the amount of time between feedings.

It could be a lot of things. Honestly, your best course of action is going to be to take the dog to the vet. I know that you want more of an answer but that is really what you should with the dog. At least call and see what they have to say.

There are lots of things that could be the cause. It's very important that you get the dog to the vet IMMEDIATELY. If your regular vet is not open take the dog to an emergency pet hospital in your area. Just do an internet search for emergency pet hospitals in your city.

A dog vomiting "foam" can be a symptom of so many different ailments I would run out of steam before I ever got to the end of the list! Many times however, a dog occasionally vomiting a white/yellowish foam is okay but it's always best to check with your vet.
