Anxiety can induce muscle twitches by affecting the central nervous system, blood flow and levels of certain chemicals in the body. There are many reported cases of this happening and it is usually treated by avoiding stress or prescription drugs.

Anxiety is characterized by worry and stress. Stress can cause many physiological (physical) responses and twitching is one of them. If a person is anxious or stressed about something in the future, a twitch can occur.

Twitching can be caused by many things, the most common two are severe anxiety or nervousness, and lack of potassium. Try eating a banana and taking slow, deep breaths.
