Is there such a thing as a charismatic baptist?

There are lots of people who self-identify as charismatic Baptists, but there are also many Baptist denominations who argue that the two ideas are mutually exclusive. However, if we use the labels that people apply to themselves, then yes there are many charismatic Baptists. Those who say there aren't any usually argue that speaking in tongues is not truly Baptist.

OF course there is, and you can see for yourself if you watch the television baptists who pass the offering plate around more than once during a sermon to collect.
