In general American Baptists' support a womans right to choose. They are by no means "Pro-abortion" Advise your friend to pray about her decision, to conciser adoption and that you will support her no matter her decision. Unplanned pregnancies are stressful and tumultuous times. No matter her decision she needs a friend.

You can tell this person to remember that God forgives people for their flaws if they repent. The Baptist church is against abortions, but the decision is for her alone.

American Baptist do not believe in abortion, they see it as murder, you are ending a life and according to them that is aganist the laws of God. Abortion is wrong in the eyes of most Christians.

Baptists in general do not condone abortions because it goes against God. Baptists belive that every child is a blessing regardless of the circumstance.

American Baptist churches have congregational polity, which means that each congregation decides for itself what stands, if any, to take on social issues.
