Is there something wrong if my red ear slider's skin is shedding?

Red eared slider' tank should have basking lamp and UV light. This will make your turtle's skin and shell healthy. Don't worry, it is normal for them to shed.

Shedding is a natural part of a red ear slider's life. However, excessive shedding isn't healthy and has many causes. If your turtle is shedding too much it might be due to high water temperature, rapid growth, poor water quality, vitamin deficiency or excess.
