What does it mean when sores on the skin cause red streaks?

There are red streaks under my skin which resemble veins. They seem to stem from a sore on my leg. What could this be?

1. If it is the result of a bite, the venom and toxins are spreading into the body. 2. It is a sign of staph bacteria that have infected the wound. See a doctor immediately.

Red streaks coming from a sore are signs of infection. It could be any type of infection, and could need treatment. You should call your doctor and at least ask.
