MRSA can be spread from person-to-person many ways- from touching, sharing clothes, not wearing shoes etc.. I would make sure that she's washing her hands frequently and not sharing clothing/equipment.
To help prevent MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) infections wash all linens when you have open sores, keep wounds covered, wash entire person after sports contact, and never share personal items.
It may be a recurrence of the same infection. Strict adherence to wound dressing procedures is vital. The area must be kept free of dust. Clear away any clutter, and pay attention to ledges where dust might lie. Dispose of used dressing separately in accordance with local regulations.
Frequent and thorough hand washing is probably the most effective way to reduce the numbers of infections. Especially after frequenting public places or playing with other kids.
Mrsa is usually spread by direct skin to skin contact, therefore the best way to prevent it's spread is good hygiene. Frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizers will help curb it's spread.
