Thimbleberries are native to western and northern North America and typically grow by roadsides or in the understory of forests. They can also be purchased online at plant sites such as One Green World.

I am not sure if you are talking about the fruit, or the kind of quilt. Thimbleberries, as of fruit, can't be found at your regular grocery store. It takes some searching. As of the quilts, there are so many websites that they can be purcased on. There are also stores around if you can find them.

To be honest, they are very rare and you almost can not find fresh ones, but you can find their jam in local stores of Uppper Michigan.
