Discounted light fixtures are either out-of-date and the store is selling them cheaper, or the store may be overstocked with them. The fixtures may be in perfect condition when discounted or there could be something missing. Check the light fixtures before you buy because most discounted items cannot be returned.

Some discount light fixtures have minor flaws, which is why they are in that section. Other products may simply be pushed into this section because of newer models.

No, there is nothing wrong with them. Sometimes they are just discountinued models. If you don't need a matched set, then discount is a good solution.

It depends on the fixture you are looking at. Wiring is similar (safe).I would be concerned about the fixture itself, if the materials feel cheap, I would pass on it.
