Not really. But, you can place a lot of things under/around your laptop that can restrict it's signal, like metallic items, electro-magnetic items. So, keep your laptop free from objects/obstacles and you'll have a better chance of getting a strong connection.

No, that won't noticeably change your wifi signal on your laptop. You can try working closer to your router, or moving your router closer to you, or buying replacements for either the router or your laptop's wifi card.

First examine whether the wifi card is a addin card of an internal card. There are wifi signal boosters which are long range wifi antenna or a card. But both are very expensive.

No. Laptop WiFi cards have built-in antennas that cannot be boosted. You can upgrade your WiFi router to one with a stronger output, however. Look for an Extended Range or Super Range router.
