Loosen both upper and lower hose clamps on vacuum hose, using and Phillips head screwdriver or flat head screw drivers. Carefully wiggle the hoses off each connector. Once the hose is off carefully remove the hose clamps off of each end of the old hose and slide them onto the new hose. connect the new hose and tighten the clamps.

Replacing vacuum hoses isn't particularly difficult. Just remove the clamps at each end of the hose, and replace with a new line & clamps. Make sure not to kink or overextend the new hose to avoid leaks.

Purchase a new hose the same size a length as the old one. Slide the old one off and slide the new one on.

The booster vacuum hose increases MPG by nearly 22%, so you need to replace it if it's leaky or disconnected. The hose runs from the fuel tank to the gearshaft. The hose can easily be located because it's light blue and runs the length of the car. You will need a Mercedes issued A43 wrench to do the job yourself.

Start by buying the correct hose type and cut it to the correct length. Locate it and remove the hardware holding it on. Then install the new hose.

Air filter and container should be removed. Remove the damaged hose from the engine through long screwdriver, just make a push to remove easily Place the new hose to the engine by using screwdriver to place the new hose to the throttle body. Air hoses and filter holders must be replaced. Finally replace the air filters.
