Try to remove the sections of the plant that are damaged, you may be able to save it this way. The most important thing is to find a partially shaded spot for it so that it isn't in direct sunlight for long periods, otherwise the problem will happen repeatedly and the plant ill not thrive.

You should remove it from the very direct light and not water early in the day in direct sun. If needs be you can try cutting back below the arial roots.

There is two things that come to mind. One, you move the plant to a shading area or build a little arbor that provides the plant shade.

The leaves of vanda might not look as healthy when sunburned, but you can move the plant in full sun, but not direct sunlight. Just wait for the burnt leaves to fall and new ones should grow to replace the ones that have fallen off.

If the plant is viable, it should be able to be saved. Remove the wilted flowers and leaves. Control the sunlight by moving the plant or creating some type of shade. May sure the plant receives sufficient moisture. A dose of low percentage granular fertilizer gives an addition boost.

Make sure your orchid is in a dappled or diffused area, not in direct sun. While watering the plant make sure you do not get water on the leaves as well, this promotes a sunburn effect.

If it is really a sunburned vanda, then it is a natural process where the leaves in the lower part would die while new ones would come out on top. If the roots also looked like it is burned, it is a sign of fungal attack and needs treatment.

You can save it if it is not fully burned. You have to remove all the dead leaves and remove all the wilted flowers. It should be moved away from the direct sunlight to a shadier spot. Make sure that it recieves pleanty of moisture and it should thrive again.
