I recently had sunburnt lips about a month ago and it took about 3-4 days for it to go away. Use chapstick.. that really helps to sooth your lips.

Sunburned lips generally last 3 days, sometimes they can last up to a week. Treat with vaseline petroleum jelly several times a day, you should be good for the weekend.

Typically sunburns on any part of the body are only painful for a day or so. However, in a more severe case, one may experience peeling of the skin which will last for an additional day or so.

I would stay out of the sun for a few days, and then put some heavy duty sunblock chapstick when you do go out. They should fine in a week.

mine lasted 2 weeks and right when it got better, i headed down to the pool and got a sunburn on my lip again.
