Yes there is a worm that infests the skin of a rabbet, they are called woves. These woves are insect larvae laid by a specific type of fly and are treatable. Check your rabbits stool for small white worms and feel it's skin for lumps. This can be fatal to a rabbit so see your vet immediately.

There are many parasites that can plague an outside rabbit. This is why rabbits should be kept inside. Flys can lay eggs in their ears causing maggots.

The larvae of the bottle fly is attracted to wet fur and will burrow into the rabbit's skin. This is of particular concern to angora breeds - keep them clean!
