Do rabbits eat their young?

My pet rabbit recently had babies and I am concerned that the mother will eat the babies.

If a baby rabbit is dead, mother will "nibble" on the baby to revive it. if this does not work, the mother will resort to biting to revive the offspring

Does will at times eat their kits. It doesn't happen often. Maternal instincts do not come naturally for rabbits and they may just not know what to do. Do not remove the kits from the birthing nest. Usually it will happen early if it were to happen at all.
