Yes, K3B is a CD ripper for KDE and Sound Juicer is a CD ripper for GNOME. Either will work as long as you have the required packages installed.

Yes there are some cd-rippers on linux. You may try "cdda2wav", "Grip" or "RipOff". If these options somehow doesn't work out, you may try to run your windows software via program called "Wine".
