Is tea tree oil a good home remedy for poison ivy?

Yes! I am so allergic to poison ivy that in the past I have always had to go to a doctor for prescription strength corticosteroid creams. Then I discovered tea tree. Apply full strength several times daily and the rash heals without spreading or weeping.

It is a good remedy. It helps by reducing inflamation, itching, and swelling for poison ivy. You can mix one teaspoon tea tree oil with 1/8 cup almond oil. Wash affected area with soap and water, then blot dry with towel. You can then apply mixture of tea tree and almond oils with a cotton ball.

Tea tree oil is an excellent natural treatment for Poison Ivy. Apply to the affected area only after cleaning the rash with soap and water. It helps stops the itching.

Yes, combine one teaspoon of it with 2 tablespoons of apricot kernel oil or a similar cold-pressed oil to dilute it. Apply with a cotton ball. Be careful, as some people are allergic to tea tree oil.

Yes it is and it works well. It helps put a stop yo the itching as well as helps the blisters heal. You can apply it to the irritated area several times a day as needed.

Yes. It is very effective. It relieves the itches and redness. The disapperance of the redness almost instantly. It is easily available as it is available over the counter. It just have to be diluted with water and applied directly to the affected area. Just leave the oil there and it will heal.

It is wonderful for poison ivy, for it will dry it out. You can either use tea tree oil full strength or dulute it to a 50/50 mix with water.

It is! Tea tree oil reduces itchiness. Apply the tea tree oil with a Q tip. You can also combine it with baking soda, too. After applying, cover the area with gauze.

I am not sure whether it is good for plants,but it does have many good aspects for people such as improving immune system,resisting bacteria and reducing acne mark.

Zim's Max-Freeze Gel works REALLY well also (has tea tree oil in it). It is meant for muscle/joint pain, but helped me a lot with poison ivy/oak/sumac.
